Born on the 25th of May, 1956, Mallam Adamu Adamu is a Nigerian accountant and journalist.He is the current Nigerian Minister of Education.
He has a degree in accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University's School of Journalism.
Adamu worked with the Bauchi State government as an accountant before venturing into Journalism.
He can speak six languages fluently - English, Persian, Arabic, Fulfulde, French and Hausa.
He started his journalism career in 1984 and eventually became a Deputy Editor of the New Nigerian newspaper. Adamu has contributed to many news outlets including London-based Crescent International and he was a back-page columnist for Media Trust's titles.
