Born on the 31st of March, 1977, Akin Alabi is a Nigerian author, entrepreneur, philanthropist and politician.

His parents are Chief and Chief (Mrs) Adediran Alabi, and he was  raised up in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

He started his education at the Command Children School, Ibadan, and secondary at the Federal Government College Enugu.

After that, Akin proceeded to the The Polytechnic, Ibadan from where he obtained a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration.

He also holds a certificate in Intellectual Property Strategy from Harvard University, Boston, United States, and a Masters of Science (Msc) degree in Marketing from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom.

In 2003, he started the writing and selling books, manuals and other information products.
He also launched his own seminar and training company specializing in teaching and consulting for other young people starting their own small businesses.

Akin launched a business opportunity newspaper titled INCOME and the World Soccer News, a weekly sports newspaper.

He is the founder of Nightlife.NG and NairaBet.

He also owns a non-profit, non-government organisation, Akin Alabi Foundation.
