Asue Ighodalo was born on the 19th of July, 1959. He started his early education at Lagos State. He studied at the prestigious King's College, Lagos before pursuing admission into the University of Ibadan from where he obtained a B.Sc degree in Economics in 1981.

He further obtained an  LL.B from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1984 and a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1985.

Career

Asue Ighodalo worked as an Associate in the law firm of Chris Ogunbanjo & Co from between 1985 to 1991. In 1991, he partnered with Femi Olubanwo in setting up a law firm, Banwo & Ighodalo.

The firm is currently being regarded as one of the top Nigerian law firms in the areas of Capital Markets, Securities, Mergers & Acquisitions.
