Born on the 2nd of September, 1962, Chile Eboe-Osuji is a Nigerian born judge of the International Criminal Court.
He was born in Anara, Isiala Mbano, Imo State, Nigeria and obtained his bachelor of laws degree from the University of Calabar.
He moved to the McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, Canada for his master of laws degree.

After that, the judge got a doctor of laws degree from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
He was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1986 and briefly practiced there. After, Eboe-Osuji worked as a barrister in Canada, having been called to the Bar in Ontario and in British Columbia in 1993.

He worked at the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda as prosecution counsel and senior legal officer to the judges of the tribunal from 1997 to 2005.

He also worked as a law lecturer and barrister in Canada, and became a Legal Advisor to the UN High Commissioner.

Eboe-Osuji has authored two books and numerous law journal articles in international law.

He was elected as a judge of the International Criminal Court on the 16th of December, 2001.
