Born on the 27th of September, 1954, David Oyedepo is a Nigerian Christian minister, writer and architect.

His mother, Dorcas was a member of the Holy Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church (C&S) while his father, Ibrahim, was a Muslim healer.
Pastor Oyedepo was raised by his grandmother who was a Christian, and she introduced him to the virtued of the Christian life.

He became born again in 1969 and studied architecture at the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.

After studying, he worked briefly with the Federal Ministry of Housing in Ilorin and eventually resigned to focus on his ministry.

He has a PhD in Human Development from the Honolulu University, Hawaii, Uited States.

According to him, he got the vision to liberate the world from the devil's oppression in May, 1981 and that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW)

He got ordained by the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye.
Living Faith Church (AKA Winners Chapel International) started in Kaduna but moved to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria in July 1989, to start a new branch of the church after Oyedepo claimed to have received instructions from God to reach out to the people of Lagos.

He is currently the wealthiest preacher in Nigeria with a net worth of over US$150 million.

The church reportedly owns several buildings and four private jets, and the Faith Academy, Heritage Model Schools and the Covenant University.

They are currently working on the third university, Crown University in Calabar, Cross Rivers State.
