‘We’ll not tolerate further attack on Uzodinma’ - Southeast APC
May 20, 2021The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the attack on the country home of Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo state. The forum of southeast APC state chairmen warned that it would not tolerate further attacks on the country home of the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma.
Hon Stanley Okoro, the Ebonyi State Commissioner for Internal Security and Border Peace and APC caretaker chairman in Ebonyi state stated at a press conference in Owerri that any more attack on Hope Uzodinma would incur the wrath of APC youths in the region.
'the attack on Uzodinma was to discredit the “Sterling” performance of the governor in Imo state'; Okoro stated.
He also added that the two APC governors in the region, Uzodinma and Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state, were doing well” hence the efforts of the opposition to discredit their monumental achievements.”
Addressing a press conference, the chairman of APC south East Chajrmen forum and the caretaker committee chairman of APC in Abia State, Donatus Nwankpa, said that the “wanton destructions and attempted arson on the country home of the governor of Imo state are condemnable.”
Nwamkpa said; ”The forum of state Chairmen of All Progressives Congress, South East condemn and reject the wanton destruction of property, loss of lives and trivialization of governance and the attempted arson on the country home of Imo state governor.
“We join Imo state chapter of Inter Party Advisory Council to commend the quality, purposeful leadership and infrastructural development resolution.
“We are proud of the APC governors in Imo and Ebonyi states that have become yardsticks of assessing the performance of other Governments in the South East and Nigeria in general.
