R. Kelly To Face Life Imprisonment After Being Found Guilty Of Sex Trafficking
September 28, 2021American Singer, R. Kelly has been found guilty of sexually abusing women and children over two decades. He was found guilty of all nine charges against him. The trial that lasted six weeks had 9 women testified and two men. They accused the singer of sexually abusing them and threatening them afterwards.
The singer was also found guilty of being a ringleader of a violent and abusing scheme that lured women and children for him to sexually abuse. He was also accused of trafficking women from different states to sex trade and sexual abuse.
The trial also exposed his other accomplices in these crimes, which included members of his entourage team, managers and his security guards.
The court also heard how Kelly had illegally obtained paperwork to marry Aaliyah when she was 15 in 1994, seven years before the singer died in a plane crash.
He is due to face sentencing on May 4, 2022, which is likely to be a life imprisonment.
