Sometime around the first week of December 2021, the news went viral about the launching of a dating app by an RCCG parish. Now, the Redeemed Christian Church of God is one of the biggest religious organizations in the continent and has branches all over the world.
I have seen a lot of memes and social media reactions to the news, and I will be sharing my own opinions and a few things you'd love to know.
First - Signing Up
The processes around signing up are quite easier. You'll be asked for your email, password, gender, the gender you're looking for and username.
In my case I chose Bro### 😅 Let me go and look for my missing ribs brethren!
You can also use the Facebook sign up feature, I skipped that for tutorial purposes.
On the next page, I entered my country, entered the date of birth and other details. I selected that I am a member of the RCCG so I don't hit a roadblock.
After that page, I couldn't proceed. What could be wrong? No activation link entered my email, what could be wrong?
I proceeded to check out other parts of the website, and then I stumbled into their advertisement video.
From the video, the target is for people who are hoping to get married in the next 24 months.
Wow! So I cannot keep my Eve till I'm totally ready? 😅 This is really serious.
I ran to their Facebook page, they have some posts dating as far as 2019.
Una no dey give person updates? Since 2019 and born-again me is going from bank to school looking for my missing ribs.
Is this the only website?
However, contrary to popular news online it seems there are two websites as I am seeing deemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish.
If they are talking about this, then it's probably something that has been in existence since 2019.
Otherwise, this could be a proposed project, and the URL is yet to be shared.
