In 2019, she contested for the Kogi Central Senatorial District under Social Democratic Party (SDP) but lost to Yakubu Oseni of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In 2022, she won the PDP’s primaries for the 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial Elections. She will face APC's Abubakar Ohere and other candidates in the 2023 elections.

Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan Biography and Educational Background
After completing her primary and secondary education, Natasha Akpoti secured admission to study at the University of Abuja, graduating in 2004 with a Bachelor of Laws degree. In 2005, she got called to the bar after graduating from the Nigerian Law School.
Akpoti also holds a Master of Laws degree and a Master of Business Administration in Oil & Gas Management, both from the University of Dundee.
Career
Upon graduating from the Nigerian Law School, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan worked with the Brass NLG for a while, In 2015, she established Builders Hub Impact Investment Program (BHIIP).
In 2018, Akpoti declared her interest to run for the office of Senator representing Kogi Central in the Nigerian Senate under the umbrella of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). She lost to Yakubu Oseni of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In May 2022, she won the PDP’s primaries for the 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial Elections. She will face APC's Abubakar Ohere and other candidates in the 2023 general elections.
Personal Life
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan hails from Ebiraland in Kogi State, Nigeria. She is a mother of three.
On 5 March 2022, she got married to the Alema of Warri, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan. Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan is a cousin of past Governors of Delta State, Chief James Ibori and Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
