Shatta Wale, Burna Boy

On Friday, December 31st, 2021, the popular Nigerian singer and Grammy Award winner, Burna Boy, asked the Ghananian singer, Shatta Wale, to fight him one-on-one.

This challenge was a response for Shatta Wale's rant about about Nigerian artistes being promoted in Ghana and Burna Boy wrote, 

"Dem dey play South African, American and UK music also for Ghana but na Nigeria own be issue. Something fishy is smelling.

“Pushing this agenda of separation between our

African nations is a grave disservice to the generations coming after us, and it goes against everything I stand for as a man and as an unapologetic pan africanist.

“Therefore, if Shatta or anyone has a personal problem with me, I’m still open to fight 1 on 1 and squash it after; the same way I’ve always been. Nobody will ruin the unity we continuously try to build for a stronger and better Africa.” (sic)

The Ye crooner also reacted to a perceived beef between himself and the popular Nigerian singer, Davido, by writing, 

“FYI, I have no issues with david. We good now.

“David wasn’t tryna 1 on 1 me but we figured it out. 2022 all of us must love ourselves by force. If not, make we just kill ourselves. No middle again. Forwards ever backwards never. This is my last post of the year. God bless us all.” (sic)
