There has been a lot of buzz around business centres lately, and the business has risen to become one of the most lucrative start-ups for individuals with low budget.
A business centre, if well sited can be raking in as much as ₦200,000 monthly for the owner, and the cost of setting up one would be an average of ₦400,000, depending on location and the items you purchased as a start-up.

To succeed in the business, you need to site your business in a very good location. I advice you place it somewhere near a campus, or very close to a hot spot such as a local government headquarters (I have seen business centres booming in such areas).

You will also need to budget for your internet subscription, and you can get 6GB worth of data for only ₦1,500 from Airtel and MTN, or go for 7GB for ₦1,500 from Glo and 9Mobile.
You might not expect to make much progress within the first few days, but the business is such that can boost without much advertising.
However, I suggest you print posters with your phone numbers and paste around school areas, with inscriptions showing that you offer discounts better than your competitors.
For instance, you can be discounting ₦50 for every ₦1,000 photocopying job you do as a starter, and people will be coming around to benefit from that since others don’t do it.
Which ever way you choose to run the business, always make sure you get the best results at the minimum costs.
If fuelling your generator will break your pocket, you can combine with others at a subsidised rate.
